Research & development

Investigate the unknown. Inform what comes next.

Energy and industrial development depend on more than the performance of individual technologies. Our research examines the relationships between resources, equipment, operating requirements and economics, with the aim of defining the evidence needed for a justified next step.

Collaboration

From a research question to a work package.

A useful collaboration defines the question, method, inputs and output before starting. We welcome proposals that contribute modelling, experimental facilities, process expertise or technology evidence to a specific part of the system.

Potential topics include energy time-series analysis, storage degradation economics, hydrogen supply–demand coordination, feedstock suitability, process integration and manufacturing validation.

  • Energy time-series analysis
  • Storage degradation economics
  • Hydrogen supply–demand coordination
  • Feedstock suitability
  • Process integration

Evidence

Make the method and its limits visible.

Research should distinguish the question investigated, work completed, available outputs and further validation required. Literature review, modelling and experimental results need traceable inputs, explicit assumptions and clearly stated limitations.
